Age: almost 11 months
Favorite TV show: Yo Gabba Gabba (seriously mesmerizes him)
Favorite food: anything (oh, and nursing)
Drink of preference: nursing ;-)
Fave fruit: My kiddos are both real fans of bananas but Will also loves mangos
Favorite toy: The ball popper - big hit with both kids at this age
Favorite activity or thing to do: Hang with his mom
Song most loved to sing: Beautiful Boy by John Lennon (puts him to sleep every time)

Other Willisms: Will is such a sweet natured baby. He is always happy...always. He loves socializing and being in the thick of things with his sister and all his cousins. He is loud and loves to yell and laugh. He is also the most ticklish baby I think I've ever seen.

He is stubborn like his mom and dad and doesn't like to sleep unless he's being held. This has made for some very long nights, but it's totally worth it for all the joy he brings us during the day.

He started cruising the furniture when he was 9 months old. He thinks he can walk without help, so he steps away from its support and then remembers he can't as he gives the cushioning of his diaper a run for its money. I expect any day he will actually be walking away from the couch (or even running).

I can't wait to see what else he has in store for us as we approach his first birthday next month and beyond...

Scarlet Elizabeth Day

This is Scarlet Elizabeth Day

DOB: September 7, 2009
Age: 27 months
Favorite TV show: Caillou and anything with Tinkerbell
Favorite food: Ham and Cheese with crackers, and hot dogs and cheese
Drink of preference: Apple juice and/or water
The movie she could watch over and over: Any movie with Tinkerbell
Candy: Yes, please = any kind
Fave fruit: She still loves bananas, but also really likes mandarin oranges
Favorite toy: Baby dolls...lots and lots of baby dolls
Favorite activity or thing to do: Besides hanging out with her Gumball (grandma), she loves playing outside on her playground
Song most loved to sing: Oh gosh, there are so many that she just LOVES, but the top is probably the "Wheels on the Bus"
Book we read every night: She loves reading and we read at least 4 each night before bed, but she especially loves '10 Little Ladybugs' and 'I Am Small'

Other Scarlet-toids: Scarlet is in school two days a week and is shining there. She loves her teacher, does well with the other kids and seems to have found her element. She will have her first Christmas production this week on Thursday. They get to sing three songs. I can't wait. Will post more about it afterward with photos and video.

She also is such a special big sister. She loves Will and tells him every day just how much she loves him. She's always concerned about him and what he is doing and wants to help with every aspect of his care. She loves her parents, too, and shows lots of affection. She can read about 12-15 words on her own, count to 10, and recite the ABCs without missing a letter. She has three or four favorite songs that we sing every day and she's gotten to where she can sing almost all the words if not all of them, all by herself.

Some things we have heard her say recently:
"Momma, it's a good idea." (When I told her we didn't have time to read a book right then)
"Oh no, that's dangerous." (After she saw that a pair of fingernail clippers were left out on the floor)
"I love my grandpa and grandpa loves me." (following a conversation about Nana and Gramps Ramage)

Christmas Photoshoot 2011

Hello Again! It's been a while, so I better make up for some lost time with lots and lots of posts (just kidding). I recently got Waylen to concede on having some family portraits done since we really haven't had any since the kids were born. It went really well and I am very happy with the outcome.

Our photographer was Natalie Pitts and I think she is wonderful. She did an especially good job with bringing out the kiddos' personalities.
